Bei Abruf der letzten vorliegenden Daten auf Seiten der Johns Hopkins Universität gibt es momentan weltweit über 2.400.000 bestätigte Infektionsfälle mit dem neuartigen Coronavirus COVID-19.

Die meisten Fälle wurden demnach in den USA verzeichnet, gefolgt von Spanien und Italien. Deutschland befindet sich momentan an fünfter Stelle mit knapp 145.000 bestätigten Fälle in allen Bundesländern. Positiv anzumerken sind die mittlerweile über 625.000 Genesenen. Leider stieg auch die Anzahl der Todesfälle weiter an und zeigt die besondere Betroffenheit von Italien und Spanien mit den weltweit meisten Todesfällen.
