Der Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (VDMA) hat seine Roadmap „Batterieproduktionsmittel 2030“ aktualisiert. Das Dokument erfasst die künftigen technologischen Anforderungen an den Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, die auf den Bedürfnissen von Batteriezellen- und Batterieherstellern basieren, und zeigt dabei Herausforderungen auf, die weiteren Forschungs- und Entwicklungsbedarf erzeugen.

Durchsatz, Kosten und Nachhaltigkeit

So bildeten etwa Durchsatz und Kosten zentrale Aspekte bei dem Bemühen, den wachsenden Märkten und der Realisierung von Großserienprojekten gerecht zu werden. Neben technologischen Gesichtspunkten habe auch die Bedeutung von Nachhaltigkeit und den damit verbundenen Regulierungen zugenommen, insbesondere in Europa. Energie- und Rohstoffeinsparungen im Produktionsprozess seien für sämtliche Standorte essenziell.

Zusammenarbeit mit Wissenschaft und Industrie

Die Roadmap basiert auf kontinuierlicher Zusammenarbeit von Industrie und Forschung und wird durch Marktbetrachtungen des Fraunhofer-Instituts für System- und Innovationsforschung (ISI) in Karlsruhe eingerahmt. Beteiligte Institute, wie der Lehrstuhl „Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components“ (PEM) der RWTH Aachen und die „Battery LabFactory Braunschweig“, erhalten in dem Dokument fachliche Unterstützung von sogenannten Kapitelpaten aus dem Maschinen- und Anlagenbau.
