Die in China beheimatete „Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.“ hat ihre Präsenz auf dem europäischen Markt verstärkt und am vergangenen Freitag einen Produktionsstandort im fränkischen Naila eingeweiht. Anfang 2022 hatte der Hersteller von Maschinen für die Batterieproduktion einen Vertrag mit einem deutschen Auto-Konzern zur Lieferung eines Großteils der Anlagen für die 20-Gigawattstunden-Fertigung geschlossen.

„Made in Europe“: Deutschland als Zentrum

Deutschland spiele eine Schlüsselrolle in der „Made in Europe“-Strategie des Konzerns, sagte Chu Chen, Geschäftsführer der deutschen Tochter „Lead Intelligent Equipment (Deutschland) GmbH“ bei der Eröffnung des Kompetenzzentrums. Wuxi Lead hatte den Standort in Naila erst vor Kurzem vom Maschinenbauer ONTEC übernommen.
