Nach zahlreichen Ankündigungen neuer Projekte zur Batterieproduktion hat „Battery-News.de“ ein weiteres Update zur Zellproduktion mit Blick auf Nordamerika veröffentlicht. Basierend auf diversen Ankündigungen, sind in der Übersichtskarte auch Modul- und Packfertigungen berücksichtigt. Die entsprechenden Daten stammen dabei wie gewohnt aus offiziellen Mitteilungen der jeweiligen Akteure und aus seriösen Quellen zur Batterieproduktion.

Was ist neu?

Auf der neuen Karte wurden zahlreiche Batteriemontagefabriken ergänzt. Das Update umfasst vor allem OEM. Die Mengeneinheit der assemblierten Module wurde dabei in Tausend Lithium-Ionen-Batteriemodulen („X“k EV-LIB) dargestellt. Ein direkter Rückschluss auf die Gesamtkapazität ist nur bedingt möglich. Außer den Montagefabriken wurden auch weitere Zellfabriken hinzugefügt. Die Aktualisierung umfasst etwa Rivian in Georgia sowie Freyr und Amprius, deren jeweiliger Standort noch nicht festgelegt wurde.
