Die Automotive Cells Company (ACC) und ProLogium Technology haben eine Absichtserklärung zur Zusammenarbeit bei der Entwicklung von Festkörperbatterien für Elektrofahrzeuge unterzeichnet. Anfang 2022 hatte ACC den Bau ihrer ersten Gigafactory in Billy-Berclau in Hauts-de-France mit dem Ziel bestätigt, bis 2030 eine installierte Kapazität von 120 Gigawattstunden in Europa zu erreichen.

ProLogium sucht Gigafabrikstandort

Mit Blick auf das exponentielle Wachstums der Elektrofahrzeug-Nachfrage im nächsten Jahrzehnt bestätigte ProLogium indes die Suche nach seinem ersten ausländischen Gigafabrikstandort für Festkörperbatterien der nächsten Generation in Asien, Europa oder den USA. Der Batteriehersteller befinde sich mit mehreren Behörden in diesen Regionen im Gespräch. „Unser Ziel ist es, mit unseren leistungsstarken, sicheren und erschwinglichen Technologien eine große Produktionsbasis in Übersee und kulturübergreifende Betriebskapazitäten aufzubauen, um eine nachhaltigere Welt zu schaffen“, sagt Vincent Yang, Gründer und CEO von ProLogium Technology.
