In einer gestern vorgestellten Pressemittelung stellt das Batterieunternehmen Microvast eine neuartige Pouch-Batteriezelle vor, die sich durch besonderes schnelle Ladezeiten auszeichnen soll. Die neue Batteriezelle bewirbt das Unternehmen vor allem in Bezug auf eine ideale Einsatzfähigkeit im Heavy-Duty EV Markt.

Start der Serienproduktion der neuen Batteriezelle, die neben dem Heavy-Duty Bereich auch für andere Zyklen und energieintensiv Anwendungen zur Verfügung stehen soll, war nach Aussage von Microvast bereits im September dieses Jahres. Die NMC-basierte Batteriezelle liefert eine Leistung von 17,5 Ah bei einer Energiedichte von 186 Wh/kg und soll für eine Lebensdauer von 8.000 Lade- und Entladevorgängen ausgelegt sein. Eine vollständiger Ladevorgang soll von 0% – 100% in 20 min realisierbar sein. Die Batteriezelle wurde so entwickelt, dass Mircovast die neue Referenzzelle in die hauseigenen Batteriemodule und -Packs integrieren kann, die das Unternehmen im brandenburgischen Ludwigsheide fertigt.

Die erste prototypische Anwendung soll nach Aussage des Unternehmens derzeit montiert und in diesen Monat schon an ein Marineunternehmen aus Norwegen gehen.
