Der finnische Automobilzulieferer „Valmet Automotive“ erhält eine Montagelinie für Batteriesysteme von KUKA. Die von dem Augsburger Automatisierungsspezialist konzipierte Anlage ist laut Angaben des Unternehmens CO2-neutral und soll im westfinnischen Uusikaupunki errichtet werden. Der Produktionsstart sei für das zweite Halbjahr 2023 geplant.
Turn-Key-Lösung mit Energieeffizienz
Neben Robotern für das Prozesshandling installiert KUKA auch Rührreibschweißanlagen und Equipment für End-of-Line-Tests. In der Anlage sollen ressourcenschonende Prozesse und auf Nachhaltigkeit optimierte Programmierungen wie zum Beispiel der „Sleep Modus“ dabei helfen, Energie zu sparen. Neben dem Energieverbrauch sei die Tatsache, „alles aus einer Hand“ anbieten zu können, ein ausschlaggebender Aspekt bei der Vergabe des Großauftrags gewesen, sagt Gerald Mies, CEO der KUKA Systems GmbH.
