Der Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (VDMA) und der Lehrstuhl „Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components“ (PEM) der RWTH Aachen haben gemeinsam zwei Leitfäden zu aktuellen Innovationen und Erkenntnissen in der Batterieherstellung veröffentlicht. Die Dokumente widmen sich den Produktionsprozessen von Lithium-Ionen-Batteriezellen und von All-Solid-State-Batteriezellen (ASSB).

ASSB-Prozesse noch Gegenstand der Forschung

Auf jeweils mehr als 20 Seiten gehen die Veröffentlichungen beispielsweise auf das Funktionsprinzip und die unterschiedlichen Fertigungsschritte der Batterietypen ein. Mit Blick auf Lithium-Ionen-Akkus werden die Prozesse der Elektrodenfertigung, der Zellassemblierung und der Zellfinalisierung beleuchtet. Während die Herstellungsschritte der Lithium-Ionen-Batterie industriell etabliert sind, sind die meisten Prozesse in der Produktionskette von Festkörperbatterien derzeit Gegenstand der Forschung und stark von der Zellchemie abhängig.
