Der deutsche Automobilzulieferer Kautex hat einen Auftrag für ein spezielles Unterbodenschutzblech für Batteriepacks erhalten. Das von einem nicht näher genannten Automobilhersteller georderte Schutzblech ist Bestandteil der neuen Pentatonic-Batteriesystem-Produktlinie von Kautex und soll eine leichte, anpassbare Lösung darstellen, die aus Thermoplast- oder Metallverbundhybrid gefertigt wird.
Verbesserte Eigenschaften
Das System weise im Vergleich zu Stahl- und Aluminiumsystemen eine bessere Leistung auf, während es das Gewicht sowie die CO2-Emissionen reduziere und den Produktionsprozess vereinfache. Der Verbundwerkstoff soll ähnliche Werte bei Aufpralltests besitzen und sich durch eine Gewichtsreduzierung von mehr als 50 Prozent gegenüber einem vergleichbaren Produkt aus Stahl auszeichnen.
