Das estländische Unternehmen Skeleton Technologies hat den Ausbau seiner Produktion von Superkondensatoren in Deutschland bekanntgegeben. Der zweite Produktionsstandort soll im sächsischen Markranstädt im Raum Leipzig errichtet werden und 2024 in Betrieb gehen. Für das Vorhaben investiert das Unternehmen 220 Millionen Euro in den neuen Standort.
Siemens wird Partner von Skeleton
Skeleton Technologies und Siemens geben zudem eine Technologiepartnerschaft für die Entwicklung, Planung und Umsetzung einer vollautomatisierten, digitalisierten Produktionsanlage zur Herstellung von Superkondensatoren in Deutschland bekannt. Die Produktionslinie soll in der neuen Skeleton-Fabrik in zum Einsatz kommen. Die Zusammenarbeit zielt darauf ab, die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette von Skeleton zu digitalisieren – vom Design der Superkondensatorzellen über die Produktion bis hin zu Dienstleistungen – und die Produktion von Superkondensatoren der nächsten Generation zu steigern.
Superkondensatoren als Schlüsseltechnologie
Die Superkondensatoren von Skeleton werden in Verkehrs-, Netz-, Industrie- und Automobilanwendungen eingesetzt und ermöglichen es, CO2-Emissionen zu reduzieren und Energie zu sparen. Durch die Verwendung des patentierten „gebogenen Graphen“-Materials bieten die Superkondensatoren von Skeleton die höchste Leistungs- und Energiedichte auf dem Markt, schnelle Auf- und Entladung, hohe Zuverlässigkeit und eine lange Lebensdauer.
