Der deutsche Zellproduktionsspezialist EAS Batteries und der serbische Zellhersteller ElevenEs haben eine Absichtserklärung zur Schließung eine Technologie- und Produktionspartnerschaft für die Herstellung von Lithium-Eisenphosphat-Batterien (LFP) im Gigawattstundenmaßstab geschlossen. Die beiden Unternehmen möchten ihr Knowhow im Bereich der Beschichtungstechnologie und der Lithium-Ionen-Technologie bündeln.

Zusammenarbeit auf vielen Ebenen

Nach Aussage von Michael Deutmeyer, Geschäftsführer EAS Batteries, wird sich ElevenES auf die Fertigung von Pouch und prismatischen Zellen fokussieren, während EAS diese mit Ihrer Expertise unterstützt. Im Gegenzug soll EAS Elektroden für die Produktion von großformatigen Rundzellen erhalten. Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen ElevenEs und EAS sei in diversen Varianten denkbar, sei es in Form eines Lizenzmodells für die EAS-Technologie, im Rahmen einer Entwicklungs- und Produktionspartnerschaft oder auch im gemeinsamen Vertrieb von Zellen und weiteren Projekten.

Gigafabrik in Serbien

Das Unternehmen ElevenEs hat seinen Sitz im serbischen Subotica an der Grenze zu Ungarn und plant dort eine Gigafactory mit einer Jahreskapazität von 16 Gigawattstunden. Dort sollen LFP-Zellen im Pouch und prismatischen Format hergestellt werden. 2023 soll die Jahreskapazität bereits 300 Megawattstunden betragen und bis 2024 auf 8 Gigawattstunden erhöht werden.
