Die BMZ Group stellt „TerraE“ als globale Marke vor, die Lithium-Ionen-Batterien weltweit anbietet. Das Sortiment umfasst Rundzellen in den gängigen Größen sowie üblichen Zellchemien. Hergestellt werden die Zellen derzeitig von Tier-One-Lieferanten in Asien.

Gesamtheitliche Prozesskontrolle

Laut BMZ setzten bereits viele namenhafte internationale Kunden die TerraE-Batteriezellen in Energiespeichersystemen, Elektrofahrzeugen und E-Bikes ein. Mitarbeitende von TerraE legen die jeweiligen Spezifikationen der Batteriezellen fest. Zudem setze TerraE moderne Produktionsanlagen ein. Dadurch garantiere das Unternehmen eine Prozesskontrolle über den gesamten Produktionsweg.

Vereinigung von Leistung und Kapazität

Die Lithium-Ionen-Batterien sollen in zwei Hauptchemien erhältlich sein. Eine Kombination von NMC/NCA Zellen und eine weitere Version auf LFP-Basis stehe zur Verfügung. Hergestellt werden die NMC/NCA TerraE-Zellen wahlweise mit hoher Energiedichte oder für hoher Lade- und Endladeraten. In Kürze plane TerraE eine Batteriezelle im 18650-Format auf den Markt zu bringen, welche hohe Leistung und hohe Kapazität vereine. Somit entfalle der notwendige Kompromiss, sich zwischen den Leistungsmerkmalen entscheiden zu müssen. Nach Aussagen des in Klarstein am Main ansässigen Unternehmens, ist die Marke TerraE für die kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung der Lithium-Ionen-Technologie konzipiert.
