Das kroatische Unternehmen Rimac Technology hat die Einrichtung des neuen Geschäftsfelds „Rimac Energy“ angekündigt. Der neue Geschäftsbereich soll das Know-how der größeren Gruppe im Sektor der Elektrofahrzeuge und der Batterietechnologie nutzen, um Energiespeicherlösungen und batteriegepufferte Schnellladegeräte zu entwickeln.

60 spezialisierte Fachkräfte

Das „Rimac Energy“-Team sei in den vergangenen 18 Monaten kontinuierlich als spezialisierte Gruppe innerhalb des Unternehmens aufgebaut worden und bestehe nun aus 60 Fachkräften, die derzeit an der ersten Generation von stationären Energiespeichern und Pilotanwendungen mit ausgewählten Kunden arbeiten. Rimac Technology produziert Batterien und Umrichter etwa für das Elektro-Hypercar Nevara des Joint Ventures aus Rimac Bugatti und Porsche.

Mehr Effizienz und Platzersparnis

Rimac Energy profitiere von Rimacs anerkannter Expertise in der Elektrofahrzeug-Technologie und wende das gleiche Technik- und Design-Know-how auf stationäre Energiespeicheranwendungen an. Rimac Energy hat zuletzt eine neuartige Batteriearchitektur entwickelt, die Effizienzverluste um bis zu 50 Prozent reduzieren und gleichzeitig den Platzbedarf des Systems um bis zu 40 Prozent gegenüber aktuellen Lösungen verringern soll.
