Der italienische Batteriezellproduzent Italvolt ist eine strategische Zusammenarbeit mit StoreDot eingegangen. Das Unternehmen mit Sitz in Israel entwickelt schnell aufladbare Elektrofahrzeug-Batterien sowie Akkus mit hoher Energiedichte. Die Vereinbarung sieht vor, dass Italvolt eine Lizenz für StoreDots extreme Schnellladetechnologie XFC und die Rechte am geistigen Eigentum erwirbt, um XFC-Lithium-Ionen-Batterien in Italien herzustellen.

Skalierter technologischer Fortschritt

Die Vereinbarung markiert einen Meilenstein in Italvolts Bestreben, Lithium-Ionen-Batterien in großem Maßstab zu entwickeln. Außerdem ermöglicht die Kooperation eine beschleunigte Markteinführung. Im Zuge der Zusammenarbeit werde Italvolt die Batteriezellenproduktion parallel zu den technologischen Fortschritten von StoreDot skalieren und verbessern.

160 Kilometer mit Zwei-Minuten-Ladung

StoreDot zielt darauf ab, fortschrittliche Batteriezellen zu entwickeln, die bis spätestens 2024 eine Reichweite von 160 Kilometern mit einer Fünf-Minuten-Ladung ermöglichen. Bis zum Jahr 2028 soll die gleiche Entfernung mit einer Drei-Minuten-Ladung und bis 2032 mit einer Zwei-Minuten-Ladung machbar sein.
