Der Regensburger Zulieferer Vitesco Technologies hat mehrere Aufträge für Batteriemanagement-Systeme (BMS) im Gesamtwert von zwei Milliarden Euro erhalten. Einer der Kunden soll die zugehörigen Batterie-Steuergeräte für 400-Volt- und 800-Volt-Elektrofahrzeug-Architekturen bereits in einer Version für drahtlose Kommunikation erhalten.

Mehr Platz zugunsten der Akku-Eigenschaften

Mit dieser Lösung wird die Verkabelung innerhalb der Batterie reduziert und Bauraum frei, der entweder Platz für eine größere Batteriekapazität bietet oder ein kompakteres Batteriesystem mit geringerem Gewicht ermöglicht. Das Batteriemanagement ist eine Schlüsselfunktion des elektrischen Fahrens. Neben der Steuerung und Kontrolle eines ausgeglichenen Ladegrads (State of charge, SoC) kommt dem BMS unter anderem die Aufgabe zu, die Batterien vor Überhitzung zu bewahren. Intelligente BMS-Lösungen bestehend aus Steuergeräten, Sensoren und Applikations-Software, um diese Funktion zu erfüllen.
