Die Cellforce Group GmbH (CFG) und das Unternehmen TRUMPF haben sich auf eine langfristige strategische Partnerschaft verständigt. Das Ziel sei es, eine der leistungsfähigsten Batteriezellen der Welt zu produzieren, erklärt Dr. Markus Gräf, Chief Operating Officer der Cellforce Group.

Kaum begrenzte Anwendungsmöglichkeiten von Lasern

Cellforce bringt Laser von TRUMPF bereits in einer Pilotanlage zum Einsatz. Die Produktionsanlage von Cellforce, die in der Nähe von Reutlingen entsteht, soll 2024 mit einer Anfangskapazität von mindestens 100 MWh pro Jahr in Betrieb gehen. Das entspricht Hochleistungsbatteriezellen für rund 1.000 Fahrzeuge. Bei der Produktion der Zellen gibt es derzeit mehr als 30 verschiedene Laseranwendungen.

Inhalte der Partnerschaft

Die Cellforce Group entwickelt und produziert ab 2024 Hochleistungs-Lithium-Ionen-Pouch-Zellen für automobile Spezialanwendungen. Das Joint Venture der Porsche AG und der CUSTOMCELLS Holding GmbH werde dafür die Lasertechnologie von TRUMPF verwenden um Lithium-Ionen-Batterien zu produzieren. TRUMPF werde Erfahrungen aus der Laseranwendung in die Produktion von Batteriezellen einbringen und soll von neuen Applikationslösungen profitieren, heißt es von TRUMPF Lasertechnik CEO Christian Schmitz.
