Gotion High-Tech Co Ltd. plant in Göttingen den Bau zweier Produktionsstätten für Batterien in Europa. In zwei Phasen soll das Ziel einer jährlichen Produktionskapazität von sechs beziehungsweise zwölf Gigawattstunden erreicht werden. Bereits Ende des Jahres soll der Umbau starten. Der Standort Göttingen umfasst eine Grundstücksfläche von etwa 174.000 Quadratmetern.
Umbau der bestehenden Anlage
Auf diesem Gelände soll zunächst die Umrüstung der Brownfield-Anlage beginnen, die im September 2023 mit einer Kapazität von 3,5 Gigawattstunden in Betrieb genommen werden soll. Mit der Fertigstellung der Greenfield-Anlage wird eine jährliche Produktionskapazität von 18 Gigawattstunden angestrebt.
Belieferung der relevanten Märkte
In Verbindung mit der Entwicklung und technologischen Ausrichtung des neuen Energiemarkts in Europa sollen neue Batterien erforscht und entwickelt werden, die den lokalen europäischen Markt bedienen, und die Produktion von Bus-, Auto- und Energiespeicherbatterien, mobilen Ladegeräten und anderen Produktreihen übernommen werden. Mit der Lithium-Eisenphosphat-Batteriezellentechnologie von Gotion High-Tech, zusammen mit deutschen Mitarbeitern, einer strengen Qualitätskontrolle und den hohen Qualitätsanforderungen in Europa, wolle Gotion in Zukunft die Nachfrage in den Bereichen Energiespeicherung, Nutzfahrzeuge und Personenkraftwagen abdecken.
