„ŠKODA AUTO“ hat an seinem Hauptsitz in der tschechischen Stadt Jungbunzlau (Mladá Boleslav) eine Produktionslinie für Batteriepacks in Betrieb genommen. In einer offiziellen Mitteilung heißt es, die Kapazität des Werks liege derzeit bei rund 250.000 Packs pro Jahr. Durch eine Ausbaustufe, deren Fertigstellung für Ende 2023 geplant ist, soll das Volumen auf insgesamt 380.000 steigen.
MEB-Plattform für VW, Audi, ŠKODA und SEAT
Vom Band laufen dort ab sofort Batteriesysteme für Autos, die auf Volkswagens „Modularem E-Antriebs-Baukasten“ (MEB) basieren. Die von ŠKODA produzierten Packs sollen somit auch in Elektrofahrzeugen der Marken Volkswagen, Audi und SEAT verbaut werden. Die neue Produktionslinie in Tschechien ist der europaweit erste Standort, an dem MEB-Batteriesysteme außerhalb Deutschlands hergestellt werden.
Variable Packgröße von acht bis zwölf Modulen
Die Batteriepacks sind aus Modulen zusammengesetzt, die jeweils 24 Zellen enthalten. Je nach gewünschter Größe des Packs können zwischen acht und zwölf dieser Module zu einem Pack verbaut werden. Dadurch sollen sich Kapazitäten zwischen 55 und 82 Kilowattstunden ergeben.
