Das BMBF gibt in einer Bekanntmachung erste Richtlinien zur Förderung von Projekten zum Thema „Ausbau der nationalen Forschungsinfrastruktur im Bereich der Batteriematerialien und -technologien (ForBatt)“ im Rahmen des Dachkonzeptes „Forschungsfabrik Batterie“ an.

Förderziel des Vorhabens sei „Vom Material zur Innovation“ der Ausbau der nationalen Forschungsinfrastruktur im Bereich der Batteriematerialien und -technologien. Dabei sollen die Forschungseinrichtung an Hochschulen und auch außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtungen weiterentwickelt werden, dass diese den „aktuelle Herausforderungen und Bedarfen im Bereich der Batterieforschung“ künftig gewachsen sind. Zur Förderung gehört dabei auch die Entwicklung des technischen Know-hows der Forschenden.
