Reiner Elektrosportwagen von Ferrari erst ab 2025!

Während die Elektrifizierung der Fahrzeugflotten der meisten Automobilhersteller schnell voranschreitet, drückt der italienische Automobilhersteller Ferrari auf die Bremse. Den ersten rein elektrischen Sportwagen wird es voraussichtlich erst ab 2025 geben. Grund dafür sei das Entwicklungsstadium der Batterietechnologie.

Dass der italienische Automobilhersteller, welcher vor allem für seine Designs und Motorenklang bekannt ist, nicht begeistert ist von der leisen Elektromobilität, wurde bereits Anfang 2018 bekannt. Ferrari-Boss Sergio Marchionne antwortet damals auf die Frage nach der Elektrifizierung der eigenen Fahrzeugflotte mit den Worten: „Wir machen es, weil wir es müssen.“ Dessen ungeachtet wollte man damals noch vor Tesla, Porsche und anderen Herstellern den ersten elektrischen Sportwagen auf dem Markt bringen.

Nun kommt alles anders. Vergangene Woche verkündete Vorstandschef Louis Camilleri im Ferrari Werk in Maranello, dass die Batterietechnologie noch nicht da ist, wo sie sein sollte. Entwicklungsbedarf gibt es laut Camilleri vor allem im Bereich der Ladegeschwindigkeit. Bis 2025 wird Ferrari deshalb „lediglich“ Hybrid Fahrzeuge herstellen, wie beispielsweise den Anfang des Jahres vorgestellten SF90 Stradale. Die Fahrzeugflotte soll so zu 60 % bis 2022 elektrifiziert werden. Desweiteren wird parallel an Wasserstoff und Biokraftstoffen geforscht.
