Das BMWI hat 13 Thesen zur europäischen Batterieproduktion veröffentlicht. Hierin wird das ambitionierte Ziel ausgerufen, bis 2030 rund 30% der weltweiten Nachfrage nach Batteriezellen aus Deutschland und Europa bereitzustellen. In diesem Rahmen werden als Anschubfinanzierung rund eine Milliarde Euro bereitgestellt, die in Kombination mit weiteren europäischen Fördergeldern einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Entwicklung des europäischen Wirtschaftsraumes leisten sollen.
