Das Batterieanalytik-Software-Unternehmen TWAICE Technologies und der Forschungs- und Entwicklungsdienstleister VISPIRON SYSTEMS haben in München ein gemeinsames Batterie-Forschungslabor mit dem Namen „Munich Battery Lab“ eröffnet. Innerhalb von sechs Monaten hatten die Partner die gesamte Prüfinfrastruktur auf einer Fläche von 100 Quadratmetern aufgebaut.
Umfangreiche Analyse von Batterieverhalten
An dem Forschungsstandort sollen Lithium-Ionen-Batterien unter verschiedenen, kontrollierten Umwelteinflüssen in Bezug auf ihre Leistungsfähigkeit, Stabilität und Alterungscharakteristik untersucht werden. Die Anlagen sollen das Testen unterschiedlicher Zelltypen bei einer Stromstärke von bis zu mehreren hundert Ampere ermöglichen. In zehn Temperaturkammern für einen Bereich von -20 Grad bis +80 Grad Celsius sollen insgesamt einhundert Messkanäle für Batteriezellen zur Verfügung stehen. Die Erkenntnisse aus den Messdaten möchte das Unternehmen TWAICE für die Weiterentwicklung seiner Software-Analyse-Produkte nutzen.
