Der Technologiekonzern Rheinmetall hat einen Großauftrag im Bereich der Elektromobilität erhalten. Laut einer offiziellen Unternehmensmitteilung handelt es sich dabei um ein mit mehr als 250 Millionen Euro dotiertes Projekt eines ungenannten deutschen Premiumherstellers aus dem Automobilbereich. Rheinmetall soll die neue 900-Volt-Generation einer elektrisch betriebenen Fahrzeugflotte mit neuartigen Schaltschützen ausrüsten.
Schnelleres Laden und größere Reichweite
Ab dem Jahr 2025 werde Rheinmetall eine mittlere zweistellige Millionenzahl von Schaltschützen für die neue Fahrzeugplattform des Autoherstellers liefern. Schaltschütze ermöglichen das sichere Ein- und Ausschalten von Elektrofahrzeugen und gewährleisten einen gefahrlosen und effizienten Fahrzeugbetrieb. Die neue 900-Volt-Technologie soll die Effizienz der nächsten Generation von batterieelektrischen Fahrzeugen wesentlich verbessern, indem sie schnellere Ladevorgänge und größere Reichweiten ermöglicht, heißt es in der Meldung des Konzerns.
