Nachdem „Battery-News.de“ zu Beginn der Woche den Battery Atlas 2022 mit europäischem Fokus präsentiert hat, blickt das Nachrichtenportal zum Ende der Woche Richtung Westen und gibt ein Update zu den Batterieprojekten in Nordamerika. Die entsprechenden Daten stammen dabei wie gewohnt aus offiziellen Mitteilungen der jeweiligen Akteure und aus seriösen Quellen zur Batterieproduktion.

Unterschiede zwischen Plänen und Umsetzung

In Nordamerika ist indes zum ersten Mal ein deutlicher Unterschied zwischen den ursprünglichen Ankündigungen und den Umsetzungen zu erkennen. So ergibt sich ein minimaler Rückgang der Produktionskapazität um fünf Prozent. Da weitere Unternehmen bisher nur angestrebt haben, eine Produktion in den USA aufzubauen, und dabei keine konkreten Zahlen veröffentlicht haben, dürfte diese Erscheinung nicht von Dauer sein. Der Batterieentwickler und Hersteller Sakuu beispielsweise hat für die Zeit bis zum Jahr 2028 weltweit insgesamt 60 Gigawattstunden angekündigt. Aufgrund des Hauptsitzes in den USA ist davon auszugehen, dass auch ein Fertigungsstandort in den Vereinigten Staaten entstehen wird.
