Der Entwicklungsdienstleister FEV Europe mit Sitz in Aachen und das taiwanesische Energie-Innovationsunternehmen ProLogium Technology planen eine Kooperation zur Entwicklung von Festkörperbatterie-Systemen. Beide Unternehmen haben eine Absichtserklärung unterzeichnet, laut der sie ihr Know-how dazu nutzen wollen, künftig gemeinsam Energiespeichersysteme ins Leben zu rufen, die auf ProLogiums Solid-State-Battery- (SSB)-Technologie basieren.

Hohe Leistungs- und Energiedichte

FEV verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung in der Batterieentwicklung. Das maßgeschneiderte Design und die Integration von Batteriesystemen berücksichtigen sowohl das Batteriemanagementsystem als auch die Zellen, Module und Packs. Je nach Anwendung bietet das Unternehmen Lösungen mit hoher spezifischer Leistungs- und Energiedichte. Mit „eDLP“ bei Leipzig betreibt FEV ein Batterieentwicklungs- und Testzentrum für Hochvoltbatterien. „Als technologieoffener Entwicklungsdienstleister arbeiten wir an Festkörperbatterielösungen im Bereich der E-Mobilität“, sagt Professor Stefan Pischinger, Präsident und CEO der FEV Group.

„Neue Werte in traditioneller Industrie“

Laut ProLogium-Gründer und -CEO Vincent Yang bringt das Joint Venture „zwei gleichgesinnte und komplementäre Partner zusammen, die sich auf die Schaffung neuer Werte in einer traditionellen Industrie konzentrieren“. Die Zusammenarbeit werde der Automobilindustrie dabei helfen, einen innovativen, sauberen und effizienten Energieverbrauch elektrifizierter Fahrzeuge schneller zu erreichen.
