Der seit einiger Zeit in der Batterieproduktion aktive deutsche Maschinenbauer Manz hat einen Folgeauftrag des Unternehmens TE Connectivity erhalten. Die Manz AG hatte in den vergangenen Jahren bereits mehrere vollintegrierte Montagelinien und diverse Erweiterungen für bestehende Linien an TE Connectivity ausgeliefert und installiert.
Fortschritt durch deutsche Anlagentechnik
Gegenstand des neuen Auftrags sind Zellkontaktiersysteme von Manz. Sie dienen dazu, einzelne Batteriezellen elektrisch zu Modulen zu verbinden. Neben der reinen Übertragung von Strömen sollen die Kontaktiersysteme auch Sensorfunktionen für das Batteriemanagement übernehmen – etwa die Messung von Temperatur und Spannung. Die erneute Lieferung von Manz an TE Connectivity soll die Entwicklung des Unternehmens mit Hauptsitz in der Schweiz durch die deutsche Anlagentechnik zur Batterieproduktion verstärken.
Auch E-Mobil-Produzent aus den USA wird Kunde
Manz hat außerdem einen US-amerikanischen Elektro-Autobauer als weiteren Kunden gewonnen. Gemeinsam mit dem neuen Partner sei bereits in kurzer Zeit eine Montagelinie zur Herstellung von Invertern mittels Laser-Prozesstechnologie entstanden. Inverter werden im elektrischen Antriebsstrang dazu genutzt, den Gleichstrom der Batterie in Wechselstrom umzuwandeln, der für den Betrieb des E-Motors benötigt wird. „Wie erwartet, profitiert unser Auftragseingang zunehmend von der hohen Marktdynamik im Bereich der Elektromobilität“, sagt Martin Drasch, CEO der Manz AG.
