Finnish Minerals Group (FMG) plans to build two battery materials factories in Finland. The group wants to build a production facility for cathode active materials (CAM) and a plant for precursor materials (pCAM). For CAM production, a new joint venture with the Chinese company “Beijing Easpring Material Technology” is to be established by the end of 2023.
One of the largest battery plant clusters in Europe
Die geplante CAM-Fabrik in Kotka und das pCAM-Werk in Hamina sollen gemeinsam eines der größten Cluster von Batteriematerialanlagen in Europa bilden. Die Produktionskapazität soll zunächst bei 50.000 Tonnen pro Jahr liegen und erweitert werden können. Die pCAM-Anlage werde von „CNGR Finland Oy“ errichtet. An dem Joint Venture mit dem chinesischen Unternehmen „CNGR Advanced Material“ ist die Finnish Minerals Group zu 40 Prozent beteiligt.
