Das Unternehmen Siro Energy als Joint Venture des Zellproduzenten Farasis Energy und des türkischen Autobauers Togg hat mit der Massenproduktion von Batterie-Modulen und -Packs begonnen. Das neue Werk im türkischen Gemlik, das in rund eineinhalb Jahren Bauzeit errichtet wurde, beschäftigt auf einer Fläche von 26.000 Quadratmetern mehr als 300 Mitarbeiter.

Steigerung von drei auf 20 Gigawattstunden

Die jährliche Produktionskapazität betrage derzeit drei Gigawattstunden. Geplant sei, das Volumen bis 2031 auf 20 Gigawattstunden pro Jahr zu steigern. Siro soll künftig neben Kunden von Farasis Energy Europe auch eigene Abnehmer in den Bereichen Automobil, industrielle Anwendungen und stationäre Speicherlösungen beliefern.
