Der deutsche Maschinen- und Anlagenbauer Dürr liefert künftig Produktionstechnologie an den Batteriehersteller CATL liefern. Bei dem Auftrag gehe es um mehrere Anlagen zur Lösemittelrückgewinnung. Sie sollen in die Beschichtungslinien des ersten europäischen CATL-Werks integriert werden, das derzeit in Thüringen entsteht. Dadurch sollen sich Emissionen von mehreren zehntausend Tonnen CO2 pro Jahr vermeiden lassen.
Fokussierung auf Batterieproduktion
Mit der von Dürr angebotenen „Sorpt.X LC-Technologie“ sollen sich im Verbund mit einem Destillationsschritt mehr als 95 Prozent des zurückgewonnenen Lösemittels in erforderlicher Qualität wiederverwenden lassen. Im Zuge der Elektromobilität rechne Dürr für die kommenden Jahre in Europa mit einem starken Ausbau der Produktionskapazitäten für Lithium-Ionen-Batterien. Im vergangenen September hatte der Anlagenbauer daher bereits angekündigt, mit den deutschen Maschinenbauern Grob und Manz zu kooperieren. Eigenen Angaben zufolge möchten sich die Partner durch die Bündelung ihrer Technologien und Kompetenzen als Komplettanbieter für die Ausrüstung kompletter Batteriefabriken etablieren.
