Wenige Wochen nach Beginn der ersten Arbeiten hat die Cellforce Group den Grundstein für die Entwicklungs- und Produktionsstätte bei Reutlingen-Kirchentellinsfurt gelegt. Nach der Fertigstellung plant das Joint Venture der Porsche AG und des Batteriespezialisten CUSTOMCELLS an diesem Standort die Entwicklung und Herstellung eines völlig neuen Standards im Bereich der Hochleistungsbatteriezellen für die globale Automobilbranche.

Siliziumbasierte Zellen als „Game Changer“

Durch einen Batteriestandard auf Basis von Silizium würden gesteigerte Energiedichten und damit Reichweiten für Fahrzeuge mit verbesserter Schnellladefähigkeit geschaffen, sagt Dr. Markus Gräf, Geschäftsführer der Cellforce Group GmbH, bei der Grundsteinlegung im Beisein von Akteurinnen und Akteuren aus Wirtschaft, Land und Kommunen sowie von Partnern des Joint Ventures. Das so genannte Game-Changer-Material stammt vom Unternehmen „Group 14“ und das Kathodenmaterial von BASF. Bei der gesamten Fertigung der Batteriezellen setzt das Joint Venture auf europäische Partnerschaften: Mit Mühlbauer, Dürr, Coperion, Saueressig, Kampf, PEC und bekenne sich Cellforce klar zum Standort Europa.
