Der französische Batteriehersteller „Forsee Power“ hat ein Werk in Poitiers eröffnet. Die Fabrik verfügt über fünf Montagelinien für E-Bus-Batterien mit einer jährlichen Produktionskapazität von einer Gigawattstunde. Unternehmensangaben zufolge entspricht diese Kapazität einer Anzahl von 2.500 Bus-Akkus pro Jahr.
Jahreskapazität soll auf vier Gigawatt steigen
Derzeit gehen die Franzosen von einem beständigen Verkaufs-Boom bei Elektrobussen aus. Daher soll die Jahreskapazität bis 2027 auf vier Gigawatt steigen. In der 15.000 Quadratmeter großen Anlage sind aktuell mehr als 200 Mitarbeitende beschäftigt, die sich auf die Bereiche Produktion, Wartung, Qualität, Industrialisierung, Logistik und F&E aufteilen. Angaben zur nächsten Ausbaustufe machte Forsee in seiner offiziellen Mitteilung indes nicht.
