Update:
Neben den bereits bekannt gegebenen, deutschen Teilnehmern des EuBatIn-Projektes, werden zwei weitere deutsche Unternehmen mit in die Förderung aufgenommen. Die Unternehmen Miba AG und Voltlabor GmbH kommen hinzu. Themengebiete der Batterietechnik bei Miba betreffen beispielsweise die Kühltechnik, während Voltlabor in der Herstellung von Batteriesystemen aktiv ist.

Die Europäische Kommission hat das von Deutschland koordinierte zweite europäische Großvorhaben zur Batteriezellfertigung mit dem Titel „European Battery Innovation – EuBatIn“ genehmigt. Diese Meldung verkündete Peter Altmaier, Bundeswirtschaftsminister, am Dienstag. Durch die Freigabe ist die Förderung von elf Unternehmen mit Standorten in Deutschland und 42 Unternehmen aus zwölf Mitgliedsstaaten beschlossen.
Bundeswirtschaftsminister Peter Altmaier verkündet: „Die Genehmigung auch des zweiten europäischen Großvorhabens zur Batteriezellfertigung ist ein sehr großer Erfolg und schafft die kritische Masse für das Batterie-Ökosystem in Deutschland und Europa. Das von Deutschland koordinierte zweite Batterie-IPCEI zeigt deutlich: Die europäische Batterie-Wertschöpfungskette wird Realität. Deutschland und Europa werden selbst wettbewerbsfähige, innovative und umweltschonende Batteriezellen entwickeln. Damit werden umfangreiche private Investitionen ausgelöst und neue, zukunftssichere Arbeitsplätze entstehen.“
Die Förderung in Deutschland umschließt die in der Batteriezellfertigung aktiven Unternehmen ACI Systems, Alumina Systems, BMW, Cellforce Group, ElringKlinger, Liofit, Manz, Northvolt, SGL Carbon, Skeleton Technologies und Tesla. Die Inhalte, die im Großvorhaben gefördert werden sollen nach Aussage des BMWi die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette betreffen.
