Einer der Standorte an dem das Wissen aus den Laboren der Wissenschaft in die Serienfertigung überführt werden soll entsteht aktuell in Münster unter dem Namen Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle. 500 Millionen Euro stellt dafür allein der Bund in den nächsten vier Jahren zur Verfügung. Weitere 200 Millionen Euro investiert das Land NRW unter anderem in Infrastruktur und Gebäude. In diesem einzigartigen Projekt soll Forschungs- und Fertigungsinfrastruktur zur Befähigung der Industrie für eine ökonomische und ökologische Produktion von Batteriezellen aufgebaut werden.
Aktuell geplant wird die Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle (FFB) im Hansa-Businesspark, der in Amelsbüren, bei Münster, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Autobahn A1 und dem Dortmund-Ems-Kanal liegt. Ein 39.000 m² großes Grundstück soll künftig Deutschlands Zentrum der Batterieforschung beherbergen. Dazu sind alleine 150 neue Arbeitsplätze in den Bereichen Forschung und Produktion in den nächsten Jahren geplant.
Für die Umsetzung des Gesamtprojektes ist die Fraunhofer Gesellschaft verantwortlich und wird durch die Standortpartner aus NRW dem MEET der WWU Münster und dem PEM der RWTH Aachen unterstützt. Gesamtprojetleiter ist Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Dr. h.c. Dr. h.c. Fritz Klocke.
Gemeinschaftlich soll es gelingen die Batterieproduktion zur Kernkompetenz der deutschen Industrie auszubauen.
Aktuelle Events Rund um die Forschungsfertigung Batterie
Ihre Pforten für die Industrie öffnet die Fraunhofer Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle im Rahmen eines Workshops „Industrielle Batteriezellproduktion“ am 9. Dezember 2020 in Aachen und möchte hier die Bedarfe aus Industrie und Wirtschaft definieren und die Forschungsfertigung entsprechend ausrichten.
