German battery company CustomCells has established a subsidiary in the USA. The company’s first international location will be established in Detroit, Michigan. The site will initially serve as a central hub for coordinating CustomCells’ activities in the North American market. In the future, an innovation, research and development center could be established there as well. In addition, discussions are said to be underway regarding the potential construction of a local manufacturing facility.
Speeding up logistics processes
CustomCells COO Dr. Christoph Falk emphasized the importance of the office opening as a first step in strengthening business relationships in the American market. By being closer to its customers, the company hopes to be able to offer better battery solutions and speed up logistics processes. According to Falk, the proximity to many suppliers and partners with whom CustomCells is working on new technologies was a key factor in the choice of location.
