Canadian battery materials company Euro Manganese has signed a non-binding term sheet with British battery manufacturer Integrals Power. The agreement provides for the future supply of high-purity manganese sulfate from the Chvaletice project in the Czech Republic. The materials could be used to produce lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathodes for lithium-ion batteries.
Minimum term of seven years
Through the agreement, the two companies will verify the suitability of Euro Manganeseʼs product for cathode manufacturing at Integrals Power. An initial material compatibility test program is planned for the third quarter of 2025. Commercial delivery is expected to begin after the materials have been successfully qualified. The initial term of the agreement is seven years, with options for extension.
Further collaboration possible
Integrals Power is developing new cathode materials, such as lithium manganese iron phosphate, for use in electric vehicles and stationary energy storage systems as well as defense applications. The planned partnership with Euro Manganese aims to strengthen the European battery materials value chain. Prices will be based on market indicators. If the test program is successful, both companies intend to explore further collaboration opportunities.
