Chinese manufacturer Gushine Electronics has officially opened its new lithium battery pack production facility in Hai Phong, Vietnam. According to the company, the 22,000-square-meter plant will increase global production capacity to approximately four million units per month. The facility will primarily manufacture high-performance battery packs for industrial and commercial applications. The company estimates the annual production value to be around 100 million US dollars.
Fully automated production lines
Gushine claims it chose the location between Hanoi and the port of Hai Phong for its logistical advantages because its proximity to international airports and seaports facilitates access to global markets. The company states that the plant will strengthen supply chain stability and increase regional production capacity. Production lines at the facility are said to be fully automated and designed for cylindrical lithium cells of types 18650 and 21700. They are supplemented by an SMT system for manufacturing battery management systems and protection boards. The Hai Phong plant is Gushineʼs first production base outside of China.
