US-based energy storage solution provider Stryten Energy LLC has expanded the testing capabilities of its laboratory at its headquarters. The new facility will primarily support the companyʼs research and development as well as quality assurance departments. The expansion will be used to test new products, evaluate technologies, and conduct root cause analysis.
Capabilities for different battery types
The laboratory has three areas for testing lithium, lead and vanadium batteries. With regard to lithium, non-destructive charging and discharging tests will be performed and batteries will be evaluated under various environmental conditions at the new facility. In addition, safety-related tests are performed in accordance with UL standards. Other laboratory areas are designed for testing materials such as electrolytes and lead alloys, as well as for testing lead-acid batteries.
