Der chinesische Elektrofahrzeughersteller NIO hat einen Produktionsstart für E-Mobil-Batteriewechselstationen in Ungarn angekündigt. Das „NIO Power Europe“-Werk im zentralungarischen Verwaltungsbezirk Komitat Pest ist NIOs erste Fabrik außerhalb Asiens. Die 10.000 Quadratmeter große Anlage soll im September in Betrieb genommen werden.

Batteriewechselsystem bald erhältlich

Laut einer Mitteilung  des Unternehmens wird das europäische Werk als Fertigungs- und Service- sowie als Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum für NIOs Stromprodukte in Europa dienen. Das Unternehmen plant, bis Ende 2025 mehr als 4.000 Batteriewechselstationen zu installieren, davon etwa 1.000 außerhalb Chinas. In der Volksrepublik verfügt NIO über mehr als 1.000 Batteriewechselstationen, die insgesamt bereits mehr als zehn Millionen Mal genutzt wurden.

NIO ab 2022 in Deutschland verfügbar

Die Stationen sollen mit den NIO-Batteriesystemen kompatibel sein, die in einer 75-Kilowattstunden-Version und in einer 100-Kilowattstunden-Version erhältlich sind. Ab Ende 2022 soll der „NIO ET7“ auch in Deutschland erhältlich sein. Alle NIO-Modelle sollen die Batteriewechselstationen als Alternative zum Schnellladen auf Langstrecken nutzen oder ihre vorhandene Batterie durch eine neuere oder leistungsstärkere Einheit ersetzen können. Die Batterien sollen als separater Mietartikel angeboten werden, um den Anschaffungspreis zu senken, oder als Bestandteil des Fahrzeugs.
