Der Münchener Software-Spezialist Twaice hat in einer aktuellen Finanzierungsrunde insgesamt 26 Millionen US-Dollar eingesammelt. Mit den Mitteln will das Unternehmen die Entwicklungen im Bereich eines sogenannten digitalen Zwillings vorantreiben, um so bessere Vorhersagen zum Verhalten von Batterien im Betrieb zu erzeugen. Dank der erneuten Finanzierungsrunde hat Twaice nun Mittel von 45 Millionen Dollar zur Verfügung.

Weltweites Wachstum im Blick
Das Unternehmen plant, durch den Ausbau im Bereich der Datenanalytik die globale Expansion voranzutreiben und neben Audi und Daimler noch weitere namenhafte Kunden zu gewinnen. Gemeinsam mit dem Münchener Rück-Versicherungskonzern bietet das Unternehmen Versicherungslösungen an, mit dem TÜV Rheinland Zertifizierungen und mit ViriCiti Dienstleistungen rund um das Flottenmanagement.

Bereits Ende 2020 hatte Twaice ein Batterieforschungslabor in Schwabing-Freimann eröffnet. Dort verfolgt das Unternehmen das Ziel, mit realen Batteriedaten die Entwicklungen rund um seine entsprechende Analyse-Software zu verbessern. Bis zum Aufbau des Tools war Twaice selbst noch von zugelieferten Messdaten abhängig.
