Bei Abruf der letzten vorliegenden Daten auf Seiten der Johns Hopkins Universität gibt es momentan weltweit über 787.000 bestätigte Infektionsfälle mit dem neuartigen Coronavirus COVID-19.
Die meisten Fälle wurden demnach in den USA verzeichnet, gefolgt von Italien und Spanien. Deutschland verzeichnet knapp 67.000 bestätigten Fälle in allen Bundesländern. Positiv anzumerken sind die mittlerweile über 166.000 Genesenen, insbesondere in der Provinz Hubei in China, wo der Virusursprung vermutet wird. Leider stieg auch die Anzahl der Todesfälle weiter an und zeigt die besondere Betroffenheit von Italien mit den weltweit meisten Todesfällen.
