Bei Abruf der letzten vorliegenden Daten auf Seiten der Johns Hopkins Universität gibt es momentan weltweit über 417.000 bestätigte Infektionsfälle mit dem neuartigen Coronavirus COVID-19.

Die meisten Fälle wurden demnach in China verzeichnet, mittlerweile dicht gefolgt von Italien. Deutschland befindet sich momentan an fünfter Stelle mit knapp 33.000 bestätigten Fälle in allen Bundesländern. Ein Blick auf die Weltkarte zeigt, dass mittlerweile in nahezu jedem Land entsprechende Infektionen nachgewiesen werden können. Positiv anzumerken sind die mittlerweile über 107.000 Genesenen, insbesondere in der Provinz Hubei in China, wo der Virusursprung vermutet wird. Leider stieg auch die Anzahl der Todesfälle weiter an und zeigt die besondere Betroffenheit von Italien mit den weltweit meisten Todesfällen.  Frankreich vermeldet nun nach Italien, China, Iran und Spanien über 1000 Tote.

Der Automobilmarkt in China ist in Folge der Corona Pandemie und der Restriktion deutlich eingebrochen: Das Volumen reduzierte sich um 82% auf 224.000 Einheiten.
