Der Produktionsanlagen und -robotik Spezialist KUKA hat im vierten Quartal 2019 den Zuschlag zur Planung und Lieferung einer vollautomatisierten Batterie-Pack-Linie erhalten. Der Großrauftrag soll nach Angaben von Kuka im zweistelligen Millionenbereich liegen und von einem namenhaften, jedoch nicht weiter benannten, Automobilzulieferer beauftragt worden sein.
Mit über 50 Industrierobotern soll im Zuge dessen nun die Batterie-Pack-Fertigungslinie gebaut werden, während KUKA hier nach eigenen Angaben insbesondere auf das hauseigene und umfassendes Technologie-Know-how zurückgreift. Kuka plant hierzu in nahezu allen Schritten der Fertigung die eigene Robotertechnik einzubringen, beginnend bei der Zuführung der Batterierahmen bis hin zum finalen End-of-Line Tests.
Ebenso in den Auftrag eingebracht wurde auch das Wissen um die sogenannte „Digitale Fabrik“, womit KUKA alle, oftmals sicherheitsrelevanten, Prozessschritte kontinuierlich im laufenden Betrieb auswerten und somit überwachen möchte. In diesem Rahmen sollen für Änderung im laufenden Prozessen intuitive Schnittstellen zwischen Mensch und Maschine implementiert werden.
