Bosch möchte eine führende Position im Markt für 48-Volt-Hybridsysteme einnehmen. Hierfür kooperiert das Unternehmen nun für die Produktion einzelner Zellen mit CATL.

Der chinesische Batteriezellenhersteller CATL und Bosch haben sich zusammen auf eine langjährige Kooperation geeinigt. Resultat soll die Entwicklung und Herstellung von Zellen für leistungsstarke 48-Volt-Batterien nach den Anforderungen von Bosch sein. Diese Batterien sind elementar für 48-Volt-Hybridantriebssysteme, die global aus Effizienzgründen in der Elektromobilität an Bedeutung gewinnen. Bosch versorgt sich zudem langfristig mit Batteriezellen und festigt seine Position im Markt für 48-Volt-Batterien. Das Unternehmen möchte mit der Hybridisierung alle Fahrzeugklassen für zukünftige Emissionsanforderungen vorbereiten. Auch die Bremsenergie kann dadurch genutzt werden.

Der Markt für 48-Volt-Systeme wächst besonders in China und Europa und könnte laut Prognosen im Jahr 2025 bereits in 20 % aller Neuwagen enthalten sein. Erste Batterien dieser Art waren bereits Ende des letzten Jahres im chinesischen Wuxi verbaut. Vorteile des Systems sind Kompaktheit und die passive Kühlung, wodurch Entwicklungsaufwand eingespart werden kann. Weiterhin will Bosch sich auch für die reine Elektromobilität gut aufstellen und seinen Umsatz hier deutlich steigern. Aktuell sind global bereits mehr als eine Millionen Elektroautos mit Antriebskomponenten von Bosch in Umlauf.
